By .JohnSmith.
Stephen Canning, an aspiring young politician from Braintree has been asked by the Department for Schools, Families and Children to produce a kitemark for educational resources. The 16 year old from Tabor Science College will lead a team who will create criteria for resources which are produced for young people. Stephen and his colleagues will then assess resources that are submitted to them and award them certification as being young people friendly. Stephen and his project has been supported by the DSFC, the British Youth Council, Barnardos and Save The Children. Stephen said “I am honoured to have been asked to lead a project like this and hope it will become a great success.” The project is seen as a key and fundamental part of the governments new Childrens Plan and in providing the UK with world class education services.
